About us
Set in the heart of the picturesque village of Slinfold, West Sussex, The Red Lyon is the oldest building in the village, dating back to the 15th century. Fi and Martin look forward to welcoming you and will endeavour to do all we can to make your visit pleasurable. We take pride in our rich history and the stories that have evolved over the centuries. The pub has always been the hub of the village and we pride ourselves on making all our customers feel welcome. We are a family run business and welcome families and all dogs, with treats for our furry friends. We have a play area for kids and a special menu for them too.
We happily cater for events . Pop in or call us to discuss your requirements. We have a separate function room which seats 12 people and leads onto the garden patio for meetings or private parties.
We change our menus seasonally and on Sundays we have a different menu every week which includes delicious roasts. Every month we like to have a quiz night for charities that our customers request. These evenings are such fun and raise money for deserved causes.

For bookings of 8 people or more we can accommodate you but you will need to contact us direct as we will require a preorder to ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and you receive the service you expect. We also have a bed and breakfast upstairs with 3 bedrooms all ensuite. A small double £85 , a standard double £95 and a family room £105. Breakfast can be arranged from 9am at a small additional charge. Please call or message below to enquire about reservations
